Your dashboards

Swish has two home screens. You picked a default during setup, and you can switch between them whenever
you like.

Dashboard Answers
Budgeting Dashboard Where is my money going, and am I on track this cycle?
Investment Dashboard What am I worth, and where is it heading?

Switching

Use the Budgeter / Investor switcher in the header. The switch holds for as long as you stay signed
in; next time you sign in, Swish opens on the dashboard you chose during setup.

Budgeting Dashboard

Your Financial Overview.

Six overview cards

Shortcuts into the budgeting tools, each showing a summary:

Spend Overview Spend Overview
My Budgets Setting up your budget
My Goals Goals and allocation
Smart Insights Coming soon

Connected Accounts

Your linked accounts and balances. If you have none yet: No Accounts Linked with a Connect
accounts
shortcut. See Connecting your bank accounts.

Spending Breakdown

A donut chart of where your money went this cycle, by category — the fastest way to see what is actually
consuming your income.

Before you have categorised anything: No Spending Insights Yet.

Alongside it, income and expense bars show your cash flow for the period.

My Goals

A preview of your goals and progress. Before you have any: No Goals Created Yet with View Goals.

Transactions needing attention

Two lists that turn straight into action:

These are the highest-value thing on the dashboard. Clearing them makes everything else accurate.

News & Updates

Investment Dashboard

Your net worth and where it is heading.

The investment dashboard showing net worth and asset metrics

Net worth

Three cards across the top:

Figure Means
TOTAL NET WORTH Everything you own minus everything you owe
TOTAL ASSETS VALUE Your Assets register
MORTGAGES & DEBTS Your Liabilities register

These come straight from your registers, so they are only as good as what you have recorded. If your
net worth looks wrong, check your registers first — see About registers.

Wealth Growth Forecast (15 Years)

A projection of your net worth over fifteen years based on your current position and trajectory. Hover
the chart to read individual years.

It is a projection, not a promise. It assumes things continue roughly as they are. Treat it as a
direction of travel.

Beside the chart, the figures for the year you have selected:

Figure Means
Est. Net Equity Value Assets minus what is owed against them
Property Assets Houses, land, investment property
Cash Bank balances
Depreciating Assets Vehicles, boats, equipment
Other Growth Assets Shares, managed funds, KiwiSaver
Liabilities Left What is still owed at that point

The mix matters. Heavy in depreciating assets and light in growth assets is worth knowing about.

Spending

A Spend Overview section and a Budgeted vs Actual comparison by category, with Select Category and

Making your dashboards useful

Connect your banks. Without them, most of the Budgeting Dashboard has nothing to show.
Guide.

Fill in your registers. The Investment Dashboard is entirely built from them.
Guide.

Link accounts to register items. That is what keeps values current instead of drifting.
Guide.

Clear the "not categorised" list. Uncategorised transactions leave holes in every chart.
Guide.

Set a budget and some goals. Several sections stay empty until you do.
