Document Vault

Open Document Vault in the sidebar to find documents stored against your registers and independent
documents kept securely in one place.

How documents are organised

The Vault groups a document under its register item when that item is available to you. Documents with
no register item appear as standalone documents. A document shared directly with you remains available
even when you cannot access its parent register item.

Use search and filters to find a document by its decrypted filename. Swish does not download every file
just to build the list.

Uploading documents

You can upload documents while creating or editing a register item. Supported formats include PDF,
Word, Excel, CSV, JPG, PNG, and OpenDocument files. The upload area shows the current size limit and may
offer a narrower list of formats for a particular field.

Swish validates each selected file, encrypts its filename and contents in your browser, and then uploads
the encrypted result. In a multi-file upload, successful files stay saved if another file fails; retry
only the failed files.

Opening and downloading

Select a document to open an authenticated preview in a new browser tab. The preview is temporary and
is closed or invalidated when you sign out or lose access.

Download all builds a ZIP from the documents in the selected section. Swish decrypts them in your
browser and reports progress. If one file fails, the other successful files are still included; if every
file fails, no ZIP is created. The size shown in the Vault is the stored encrypted size, so it can be a
little larger than the original file.

Moving, sharing, and deleting

The list also supports selecting several eligible documents and opening Manage access once for the
selection.

Shared documents and adviser views require an internet connection. If access is revoked while a preview
is open, Swish closes the protected view; revocation cannot recall a copy someone already downloaded.
